The multiplicity of regulations was also criticised by Mr Tyndall,-who remarked that twice the amount of timber was required to carry an iron roof in Wellington than was required in Auckland. In view of the recent controversy over Wellington’s weather that was interesting. Mr E. F. Hollands (Hutt Valley) said that he agreed with Mr Tyndall’s suggestion. Poles on back boundaries might be troublesome with radio aerials, kites, and string, or other objects with which children played.
