BILLIARDS

CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL REACHED The last game in the semi-finals of the Canterbury amateur billiards championship was played at St. Albans on Monday evening, between T. Elkis (Lyttelton) and J. J. Kearns (Police), and resulted in a win for the former by 300 points to 298. Elkis setled down quickly and soon established a lead of 70. Kearns gradually improved his position until the scoring board read 298 all. Elkis played a nice run through the white ball and registered a win by two points. A. Albertson (Lyttelton) and T. Elkis (Lyttelton) will meet in the final, the date of which has not yet been fixed.
