PRESENTATION TO MR T. E. H. KING
SUBURBAN CRICKET ASSOCIATION
Mr T. E. H. King, who has been associated with the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association for 16 years and has been president during the last year, was presented with a cheque at the annual meeting last evening, when members expressed regret ' that the association had lost his services because of his transfer to Greymouth about a month ago. Mr King was also elected a life member of the association.
Several speakers from various clubs paid high tributes to Mr King and to Mrs King, who was also present. Mr H. W. Rogers, who made the presentation, said that Mr King had given outstanding service, first as a secretary and then as president. Both he and Mrs King had helped the association m many ways, regularly allowing tneir home to be used for meetings. The association would suffer a severe loss by their departure. Mr King, in reply, mentioned the assistance given by Mrs King and appealed for support for his successor
