OUTBREAK OF FIRE IN HOTEL
Three mattresses and a small length of carpet runner were destroyed by a fire which broke out in a small locker on the third floor of the Excelsior Hotel at the cotner of Manchester and High streets soon after 1 p.m. on Saturday The Central Fire Brigade was called to the outbreak but the fire was extinguished without much trouble.
