RICCARTON BOROUGH ELECTIONS

CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION CANDIDATES Eight candidates were selected for nomination to the Riccarton Borough Council by the Riccarton Citizens' Association last evening. Proceedings were taken in committee, but it was announced by the chairman, Mr R. Hepburn, that a full ticket had been selected. The nominations are: Messrs H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., as Mayor, and Messrs li. W. Wise, C. G. McKellar, F. S. Wilding, H. Odell, R. G. Malcolmson, H. P. Smith, and F. George. All but Messrs Smith and George are at present members of the council. Mr George was a member of the first Riccarton Borough Council. Details - of the arrangements for the election were left in the hands of the executive.
