TRAWLING IN SOUNDS PERMISSION GRANTED FOR LIMITED PERIOD (SPECIAL TO THE PBFES.I BLENHEIM, March 11. According to an order-in-council, Danish seining and trawling are to be allowed in the outer reaches of Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sounds for a limited period this season. The permission is for this year only, ;,n both sounds, from April 1 to July Cll. In Pelorus Sounds seining and irawling will be allowed only outside Tawera Point, and in the outside harbour limits. In Queen Charlotte Sound, which is outside a line from Diffenbach to the opposite point, known as Bull point, the permit, for irawling is subject to certain restrictions regarding the length of rope used. The alterations are also announced about the minimum size of hapuka that may be and kept. The minimum is now to be two feet in length, which has the effect of increasing the minimum size, which used to be 51b in weight. Personal His Honour Mr Justice Kennedy, with Mrs Kennedy and his associate, Mr W. Bullock, arrived from Dunedin yesterday, and is staying at the Criterion Hotel. . Mr D. J. While well up the hill and on the way back to the beach, the accident occurred. Help had to be sought to carry the boy over the rough country. First aid was rendered. He received medical attention at Picton, and was subsequently removed to the Wairau Hospital, where it was found that a piece of rock had cut the knee severely, whilst the heavy fall had splintered the thigh bone near the knee. Cricket Results of the cricket matches played on Saturday are:— Senior Grade—Wairau beat Marshlands by 85 runs on the first innings. Kiwi A beat Awatere by 53 runs on the first innings. . Junior Grade—Wairau beat Albion A by 27 runs on the first innings. Albion B beat Marshlands by 27 runs. Celtic beat Picton by 36 runs on the first innings. College beat Tuamarina, gaining a four-point win. Inter-club Bowls In the first game in the inter : club champion rink bowling competition, played on Saturday, at the Marlborough green, the Blenheim Club's team, O'Neill, Halligan, Mitchell, and Bain (s), beat Awatere A, Smith. Roche, Reid, Reilly (s) by 41 to 13. Two Mansford Banner games were also played on the Marlborough green. The Blenheim pair, Edwards and Robson (s) beat the Picton pair, Inglis and Toms (s) by 28 to 12. Twidle and Thompson (Marlborough) beat the Awatere pair, Robertson and Lockhart, by 24 to 23.
