BIBLE SOCIETY
At the annual meeting of the Canterbury and West Coast Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Cashel street, this evening members will take advantage of the occasion to bid farewell to two office-bearers who have given valuable service to the auxiliary for some years. One is the Rev. A. W. Stuart, organising and deputational secretary to the auxiliary since 1929, who will leave Christchurch with Mrs Stuart to-morrow evening to take up .an appointment as State secretary to the New South Wales auxiliary of the society. The other retiring officer is Mr W. F. Hilson, who, owing to pressure of work, has had to resign from the position of secretary and treasurer, which he has held for 10 years.
