MADDISON TROPHY The Maddison trophy competition, the singles championship of the Christcliurch Bowling Centre, will be commenced on Saturday on the Barrington and Christchurch greens. Three rounds will lie played, the first to start nt 12.30 p.m., the second at 2 P.m., and the third at 3.45 p.m. The following is the draw:— Barrington Green Sydenham (H. D. Drummond) a bye. Albans Club and representatives of banks and professions, on the St. Albans green on Saturday. Tiie green was in excellent condition, and the weather ideal for good bowls. In view of this a number o£ the matches wero extended to 25 heads.
