KINDERGARTEN COPPER TRAIL
In the copper trail race to the halfway point across Cook Strait, which the Wellington and Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association have inaugurated in an effort to raise funds, Christchurch is now leading with £195 5s 7d. Wellington has raised £134 6s 7d. Each penny represents two yards in the race, and £319 is needed to reach the goal, the distance being 87 miles
