GREENFEED MANURING AND GRASS SOWING Greenfeed crops arc particularly important in a year such as the present. Ordinary stock feed is scarce and in many instances Greenfeed will be called upon to give the maximum winter feed. In order to make the most of the short Autumn growing period, liberal use should be made of "Super." This quick-acting, highlysoluble phosphate will produce the quick, high-quality growth that farmers require, and it will be found that it pays handsomely to use a bag or so of "Super" to the acre with all Greenfeed crops. PASTURES It is evident that a large number of pastures will be renewed this Autumn. Most Canterbury soils call for a broadcasting of 5 to llcwt of Carbonate of Lime per acre just prior to sowing. In addition, excellent results will be obtained by the use of at least 2cwt of "Super" per acre. Where it is inconvenient to broadcast lime, "Basic" or "Reverted" Super at the rate of at least 2 bags to the acre is recommended . . . this will not correct an acid soil, but it does give splendid results where lime is required and cannot be conveniently used. Good mineralised. pastures are secured with "Super," and these arc the pastures that carry extra stock, give the heavier fleece, bigger percentages at lambing, and the best fat lambs i>IT the mothers.
