The Federal Cabinet to-day approved of the broad principles of an agreement reached by the British and Australian representatives in Sydney for the operation by 1937 ot bi-weekly air mail services between England and Australia. It estimated that the entire, service will involve subsidies of £ 1,500,000 a year. FAST BOAT FOR HELP IN TIMOR SEA (Received March 8, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 8. The Minister for Defence (Mr R. A. Parkhill) announced to-day that the Government has decided to purchase a speed-boat to give assistance in case of emergency to air mail aeroplanes crossing the Timor Sea. The boat will have a speed of 25 knots, and a range of 600 miles. It will be fitted with wireless and a powerful searchlight. MAIL DELAYED DARWIN, March 8. The inward English air mail arrived 48 hours behind schedule. The outward mail was delayed 24 hours as the mail aeroplane from \yestern Australia was held up at Fitzroy Crossing Aerodrome.
