NAVAL STRENGTH
JAPAN HAS BIGGEST FLEET FIVE GERMAN POCKET BATTLESHIPS (Received March 6, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 5. The annual Blue Book of British and foreign fleets gives particulars of post-war cruisers, destroyers, and submarines built or building. The report gives no support to the rumour that Germany is secretly building submarines Japan's submarines are largely of 1630 to 1950 tons, indicating that they are intended for- long-range cruising.
