What is considered to be a world's game-fishing record was made by Messrs Michaellis, Rogers, and Wallis, of Melbourne. , Fishing near Montague island they landed 15 striped marlin swordfish weighing from 220 to 2751b each. Ten of the fish were caught in one day. The previous record catch for a launch party for one day is stated to be eight.
