PENETRATING THE STRATOSPHERE

ROCKETS WITH "ELECTRIC BRAINS'' LONDON, March 4. The Moscow correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian" says rockets shot 200 miles into the air by powerful charges of liquid oxygen form Russia's latest plan to penetrate the stratosphere. The rockets will be equipped with "electric brains" from automatic registering instruments for observing and recording the phenomena at different strata. When the rocket reaches its ceiling a parachute will automatically open and float the instruments to earth.
