Farley (PostmasterGeneral) has issued a long statement to-day branding Senator H. P. Long's charges as "untrue, false, ridiculous, and baseless." He said he welcomed an investigation. Meanwhile, Senator Long continues to make almost daily senate attacks on Mr Farley and the Roosevelt administration, which he charges with attempting to "white wash" his charges of graft. tOn February 15 the Senate was reported to have ordered an investigation into the alleged connexion of Mr Farley with contracts for a post office in New York to cost 6,250,000 dollars. Senator Long's charge was that the iirm which secured the contract was under the control of Mr Farley's brother-in-law. and that Mr Farley himself held a financial interest, and that the contract was given to the firm over several lower bidders.]
