TEMPLETON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Templeton Country Goll Club was held in the Islington Hall, Mr W. W. McKinney presiding. Speaking to the report and balancesheet Mr McKinney praised the work of the general committee, the special committees, and the retiring secretary (Mr J. Gundersen). He added thai the club was in a thoroughly sound financial position, it was hoped to pay off the watering scheme in two years, and during the coming season various improvements would be carried out. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Opening day was fixed for next Saturday. The games on Saturday will be confined to members, but the following day the matches will be open to members of all affiliated clubs. It was decided to recommend the committee to reduce as far as possible the number of inter-club matches. It was decided to place on record the club's appreciation of the services of Mr A. E. Grubb, who did not seek re-election to the committee.

Votes of thanks were passed to the president, and also to Mr Sydney H. Jones for his action in supplying the lighting system at the club house. As a token of appreciation of the professional services rendered to the club by Mr C. R. Russell in supervising and planning the laying out of the watering scheme an inscribed gold wristlet watch was' presented to him by the president. Officers were elected as follows: President. Mr W. W. McKinney; vicepresidents. Dr. F. W. Helmore and Mr G. A. Kissel; captain, Mr W. C. Smith; vice-captain, Mr J. Gundersen; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Allen; committee, Messrs R. E. Spicer. W. Millner, V. Parker, M. O. Sinclair, L. S. Ayers and R. W. Grimmer; honorary auditor, Mr F. W. Instone.
