TENNIS ! A women's doubles tournament will j be held at the Te Whaka courts on I Thursday, commencing at 11 a.m. On Saturday afternoon a mixed doubles ! tournament will be played. ; Magistrate's Court At the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr T. Mahar, Justice of the Peace, a firs.t offender for drunkenness, who, it was stated by the police, had been drinking methylated spirits, was remanded for a week for medical treatment. Waterside Dispute Loading operations on the motorship Rangitiki were delayed for an hour yesterday morning owing to a dispute between the waterside workers and the employers. On Monday night all the men were ordered back to work overtime except one gang, which was not required. Yesterdaymorning the men demanded that this gang be paid overtime for three and a half hours, the same as the others, and declined to start work unless the demand was conceded. It was agreed to refer the dispute to the local disputes committee, and work was resumed at 0 a.m.
