CARROLL BEATS BROWN (UKITED PRESS ASSOCIiTIOX-BT EIICTJR TELEGRAPH—COPYSUGET.) SYDNEY, March 4. At the Sydney Stadium, before i record attendance, Jack Carroll gave a splendid exhibition in beating TOlard Brown. The latter was plucky, taking punishment throughout Brown had both eyes cut early in the bout, and by the seventh round it became apparent that his only chance of winning was a knoctat Not once, however, did Carroll's guard fail, and Brown was badly battered when the referee stopped the bout in the twelfth round.
