ABATTOIR STRIKE IN BRISBANE
♦ CARPENTERS REFUSE TO SHARPEN SAWS BRISBANE, March 5. The meat strike was extended today when carpenters left their jobs after instructions that they were not to sharpen saws used for cutting carcases. The Meat Industry Board is continuing its efforts to maintain .- the metropolitan supplies.
