«. ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Waiau Collie Club was held in the Waiau Library Hall on Saturday night, when the president, Mr H. DampierCrossley. presided over a good attendance. The following new members were elected: —Messrs W. Williams, S. Pettigrew, W. Burrows. S. Latter, L. Matson, R. Hassal, and G. Findlay. Three resignations were received. Mr E. Stackhouse, who recently left the district, and who was one of the club's foundation members, was elected an honorary life member. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Patroness, Mrs J. Little; hon. life members, Messrs W. D. Banks, W. Fleming, and E. Stackhouse; patrons, the Prime Minister, the Rt. A new regulation, "That competitor, while yarding in class 2, must retain hold on rope, or strap, attached to the opened hurdle of yard," was adopted. It was resolved that a complimentary dance be given to the ladies at the time of the trials. It was decided that the wording oi reference to entry fees on the schedule be altered to read, "All entry fees to be paid before dogs are allowed to compete." It was decided to ask Mr W. Mather to act as judge at the coming trials.
