CRICKET ; A match was played on Saturday between East Coast and Kaikoura teams. Kaikoura made IGB runs and. the Coast 74 in the first innings and 149 in the second. The best scorers for Kaikoura were L. P. Blunt 36, Kilian 21. "Warner 20, Gillett 19, Sabiston 16, Reid 14, Hobbs 12. For the Coast Barker made 50. Collyns 31. Trolove 28, R. Murray 23, E. W. Rollason 15, L. Rollason 12. Bowls At. the bowling green on Saturday Lovelt. I'\ Clark. Washington and Hayward (West. End) 30 beat Barker, Hansen, Trudgeon, and Johnston (East End) 20. On Saturday next four rinks from Seddon will play against Kai- | koura. There will be a women's rink from Seddon participating in the play. Personal Mr and Mrs J. C. Mills, Wyndham. who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs A. C. Scott, "Waikene," have left for Blenheim and the Sounds. Mr and Mrs H. T. Wilkinson (Christchurch) are the guests of Mrs H. Mackle.
