MOTHERS' UNION

Members of the Prebbleton Mothers' Union held their monthly service in All Saints' Church on Friday afternoon, followed by a meeting in the Parish Hall. It was resolved to send to Mrs Carter a message of sympathy in her husband's illness. Mrs Ford and Mrs Taylor were thanked for gifts made by them to the branch. Deaconess Heni Park, who had previously met the Sunday school staff, and instructed them in Sunday school matters, gave an address on Sunday school work, for which she was thanked. Mrs H. Cherry and Mrs C. Hands supervised the afternoon tea. Those present were Mesdames H. B. Jones, J. Greenslade, N. Marshall, Ford, H. Taylor, G. Millar, G. Ridden. C. Hands, H. Cherry, C. Ashby, F. Carpenter, W. Carpenter, T. Smith, E. Walker, H. Prebble. F. James. J. Yeatman, W. Downey, Misses B. James and V. White.
