The weather was Wks* and the green was in good order, ov abling the competitors to produce« very high standard of bowling In the third round, main interest centred in the game between Canterbury and Cashmere, and spectators were treated to a very fine exhibition of all-round play. Fortunes fluctuated throughout the whole game, which to remarkable for the particularly accurate driving of the Cashmere skip a oooosed to the solendid draw shots 01 Finnegan. The beard read 25 all to the second last head and in the deciding end Morrison drove the jack .o the ditch, giving Canterbury a single. Finnegan added two more counts* and Morrison's last bowl, which I6OW as if it would be a measure for .spot just trickled into the ditch, giving Canterbury a win by three points. The other games were not so keeni? contested, and the semi-finals aw failed to arouse any . excitement
