CITY PROPERTY DEAL BUILDING TO BE ALTERED FOR OFFICE SUITES The Somerset building, a large twostoreyed brick building in Hereford street, next to the premises of the NewZealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd., was sold yesterday for a sum less than £30,000. The vendors are the trustees of the G. F. Bullen estate. The deal was made by T. N. Gibbs and Company for a client whose name has not been disclosed. The deal was arranged some months ago. The building covers more than a quarter of an acre of land, has a frontage of 84 feet and a depth of two chains and a half. It is intended to remodel the premises as modern suites of offices, and the work will probably be started within the next few months. Messrs Baker Bros, report that lettings are still very brisk, they having let during February, 29 houses, three suites of offices, two city shops, and a large warehouse in Lichfield street. —8 CLEARING SALE Messrs C. E. Jones, Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on the premises, 172 Opawa road, yesterday, on account of Mr Loversidge.
