TROTTING MEETING AT TIMARU SATURDAY, 9TH MARCH TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. pHRISTCHURCH-TIMARU: Special passenger train stopping at Addington, Sockburn, Hornby, Templeton, Rolleston, Dunsandel, Rakaia. Ashburton, Hinds, Orari, and Temuka to pick up passengers for Timaru Racecourse, leaves Christchurch 8.3 a.m., Rolleston 8.35 a.m., Rakaia 9.15 a.m., Ashburton 9.50 a.m., and arrives Timaru Racecourse at 11.12 a.m. Passengers from Chertsey will travel by the usual 9.9 a.m. train and join special train at Ashburton. A return train stopping at Washdyke to pick up and at above stations and at Chertsey to set down passengers, leaves Timaru 6.10 p.m. and arrives Christchurch 9.31 p.m. The 8.35 a.m. Christchurch-Invercar-gill express train will stop, if re- | quired, at Washdyke, to set down pasI sengers and will connect with special train to Racecourse. Special train for racehorses and passengers travelling with them, leaves Christchurch at 6.40 a.m. and arrives Racecourse 10.30 a.m. Return train leaves Racecourse 6.30 p.m. If the races be postponed the special trains will NOT run. TIMARU-ASHBURTON: Afternoon tra"in for Ashburton leaves Timaru 5.30 p.m. and arrives Ashburton 7.30 p.m. It connects at Washdyke with special train leaving Racecourse for Timaru at 5.40 p.m. FARES: Special fares to Timaru Racecourse by the 8.3 a.m. special train from Christchurch on 9th March, available for return from Timaru up to 11th March, also available Racecourse to Timaru on day of issue by special trains, between Timaru and Racecourse, will be issued at the following rates: From Christchurch 20/11 first class, 14/9 second class, Addington 20/9 and 14/7; Sockburn 20/2 and 14/3; Hornby 19/9 and 13/11; Templeton 19/2 and 13/7; Rolleston 18/3 and 12/11; Dunsandel 16/2 and 11/6; Rakaia 14/- and 10/1; Chertsey 13/1 and 9/5; Ashburton 11/- and 8/-.
