The Marine Department advises that when the Matai crossed the Kaipara bar on February 13 last a least depth of 23ft M.L.W.S. was found. At the time the sounding was taken the lighthouse was bearing 078deg. TANKER FILEFJELL The tanker Filefjell, which arrived at Wellington on Wednesday afternoon from Singapore, will sail to-mor-row morning for Dunedin and New Plymouth to complete discharge of her cargo of motor-spirit for the Shell Company. ZEALANDIC FOR OAMARU The Zealandic is due at Oamaru at 6 p.m. to-morrow from Liverpool. She will commence Homeward loading on Monday. FORDSDALE MEETS BAD WEATHER En route from London to New Zealand, via Suva, the Fordsdale reported that she had met bad weather, and would not arrive at Port Chalmers until this morning.
