ACCIDENTS
* THREE PERSONS INJURED MOTOR-CAR STRIKES POST Three persons were injured yesterday afternoon in a motor-car accident in Lincoln road. The driver of the car, G. R. Curry, of the Whakatata Private Hotel, 44 Cashel street, was adjusting a side curtain when he lost control of the car, which struck a telegraph post. He received injuries to his ribs. Also in the car were two passengers, Mr and Mrs James Curry, of Masterton. Mr Curry suffered a fractured right leg, an injury to his right shoulder, a cut in his forehead, and concussion. Mrs Curry suffered a fractured left knee-cap. A St. John Ambulance conveyed the three persons to hospital, arriving at 3.15 p.m. Mr G. R. Curry was treated as an outpatient, but the other two were admitted. WOMAN INJURED Mrs Catherine D. Herron, of 40 Beresford street, Linwood, suffered concussion when she fell from her bicycle at the corner of Grafton street ; 1 Ferry road about 5 o'clock last evening. She was conveyed to the Christchurch Public Hospital in a St. John Ambulance and admitted.
