NO PERMITS FOR FIREARMS Hugh Lionel Ryan pleaded guilty to two charges of obtaining firearms without permits, and two charges of failing to register firearms in his possesion He was fined 10s on the first charge of obtaining a firearm without a permit, was ordered to pay costs on the first charge of failing to register a firearm, and on the other two he was convicted and discharged. FALSE STATEMENT Thomas Warnock McClelland pleaded guilty to making a false statement to obtain employment from the Unemplovment Board. He said that he had

The chanje wa«= dismissed. HEHEARING GRANTED An application by Ernest Ackernian Smith, a farmer, of Leeston. for the rehearing of two charges under the Unemployment Amendment Act was jrantfd. At the previous hearing, when Smith did not appear, he was fined -25 and ordered to pay costs on the charge?.
