♦ The president, Bro. M. Grimes, prosided over the annual meeting of the United Friendly Societies' Council, 20 delegates being present. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. Smith, U.A.0.D.; I. past ; president, Bro. H. H. McCaw, P.A.; i executive, Bro. A. Cameron, A.0.F., | Bro. H. E. Morgan, M.U., 1.0.0. F., Bro. L. J. R. Lee, U.A.0.D., Bro. C. A. Smith, 1.0.0.F.N.L., Bro. J. Sloan, H.A.C.8.5., Bro. A. E. Forsey, 1.0. R., Bro. J. Noakes, S. of T., Bro. G. Ley, A.0.F.. Bro. E. Gorman, H.A.C.8.5., Bro. H. H. McCaw, P.A.; auditor, Bro. H. E. Morgan, P.P.Y.M., 1.0.0. F., M.U. Arch Druid Bro. J. Nee presided over a fair attendance of members at the quarterly meeting of the Pioneer Lodge, U.A.O.D. Two needy brothers wrote thanking the lodge for assistance granted, and one brother applied for assistance. The application was held over till next lodge night for further J report. ■ The delegates to the Grand Lodge j meetings will be given a free hand '. with the business sheet. Three new members were initiated.
