At Leichhardt Stadium, in a heavyweight contest of 15 rounds, Ambrose Palmer (12-6) outpointed Pieko Georgi (12-7), after a splendid exhibition. Palmer received a cut over an eye in the first round, but in spite of this disability succeeded in outboxing his opponent, who, before coming to Sydney, had performed well against most leading American boxers, including Rosenbloom. In the preliminary rounds the New Zealand boxer, Billy Pascoe U3-1), knocked out Jerry Reilly (12-8< in the second round.
