SHIPPING NOTES The Patia is now expected to sail from Lyttelton to-day for Wellington. The Foxton, after a protracted voyage from Foxton owing to adverse weather, arrived here last evening. She is to load to-day for Foxton. The Mernoo is to arrive here to-day I from Wellington to complete discharge of her cargo of Australian hardwood. J The Waimarino, due to-day from i Portland, Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. is to sail this afternoon for Dunedin and Bluff. The Maheno is to arrive here early this morning from Dunedin to discharge Melbourne cargo and to load. She will berth at the Gladstone pier west to coal, moving later to No. 3 west. The Holmdale is now due here on Saturday from the south to load for Wellington. Picton. and Wanganui. i The Waitaki is due at Lyttelton on ! March 7 from Newcastle, Sydney, Bluff, j Dunedin, and Timaru. Of these, 424 vessels (725,872 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 622 vessels (214,150 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included 10 meat cargoes—five from Australia, two from South America, and three from North America, comprising 281,000 carcases of lamb and mutton. 79.000 quarters of beqf, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries.
