EARTHQUAKE IN CRETE
——<fr LIVES LOST AND MUCH DAMAGE DONE (Received February 26, 11.20 p.m.) ATHENS, February 26. An earthquake in Crete lasting two minutes killed five persons and injured several others. The cathedral, the power-house, and other buildings in Candia were damaged, but the surrounding villages suffered most. Nearly 190 houses are reported to have collapsed.
