The "News-Chronicle" understands that the Prince of Wales's national thank-offering, of which the King has approved, is designed to promote the welfare of the younger generation, especially those unemployed. LA message from London on Febluary 16 stated: "The Prince of Wales is inaugurating a scheme for a national thank-offering to celebrate the King's jubilee. He is calling a meeting of Lord-Lieutenants, Lord Mayors. Lord Provosts, Mayors, and Provosts from all parts of Britain for March 1, when he will reveal his proposals." J
