♦ MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM .1 AUCKLAND, February 26. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers commenced in Auckland to-day. The annual report staled that, the membership for the year ended on December -it showed a small but disappointing reduction. The total was ■174. a decrease of five. The number of engineers known to be unemployed was less than last year, but there appeared to be little change in respect of recently-qualified students, and more elderly unemployed engineers. The treasurer's report stated "that the income amounted to £1326, and the expenditure to £1465. The following officers were elected: President, Mr H. Vickerman (Wellington): vice-president. Mr J. McG. Wilkie (Duncdin); honorary treasurer, Mr J. Marchbanks (Wellington); council, Messrs F. M. Corkill (Invercargill). F. W. Furkert, (Wellington!, F. W. Maclean (Wellington), F. ft. de Guerrier (Auckland), J. G. Lancaster (Wellington).
