FAREWELL TO MR W. H. COWPER

A farewell dinner was given on Monday evening to Mr and Mrs W. Harington Cowper, who will leave shortly for Melbourne, where Mr Cowper will take up his appointment to the Melbourne office of the Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company. Representatives were present of all the New Zealand branches of the company. Mr Cowper was presented with a "granddaughter" clock and a fountain pen, both appropriately inscribed Opportunity was also taken to bid farewell to Miss L. R. Lovett and Mr F. C. Perry, who have been transferred to the Wellington office, and Mr H. C. Hartley, who will take charge of the Dunedin branch.
