AVONSIDE GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS. • Most of the events of the annual swimming sports of . the Avonside Girls' High School were decided at the Tepid Baths yesterday afternoon. Competition in the various races was very keen, and the gallery was filled with noncompetitors shouting encouragement to their house-mates. The winners of the house cham : pionship will not be known until after the events are finished at the Richmond baths this afternoon. The time of 74sec put up by -Audrey Hunter, in winning the 100 yds junior championship, was very good for' a schoolgirl swimmer. ■ The houses to which the place-getters belong aro signified by the initial following the name: R., Randolph; C.J., Charlotte Jane; 0., Cressy; and S., Seymour.
