MERCHANT'S DEATH

Mr John Albert Ainge, aged 43, a well-known wine and spirit merchant aud sporting man, who had been missing from" his home at St. Clair since 10 o'clock yesterday morning, was iound dead this morning on the rocks at the St. Clair beach, with his throat cut. lie had been in ilMiealth for some time, and was suffering from a nervous breakdown Mr Ainge leaves a widow and five children. Mr Aince was well known in racing circles. He owned Pink Note aud other racehorses
