OBITUARY.

MR WILLIAM GRACE. x The death occurred at Wellington this week of Mr William Grace, formerly of Blenheim. Mr Grace, who was about 44 years of age, was a son of tho late Mr L. Grace, formerly Maori interpreter in the House of Representatives, and was a nephew of the late Archdeacon Grace, of Blenheim, and a grandson of tho Rev. T. S. Grace, the famous pioneer missionary. Mr William Grace was educated at the Blenheim .School and Marlborough College and later qualified as a solicitor in Auckland. He saw war service as an officer of the Pioneer Battalion and, on his return, joined tho staff of the Public Trust Office. Later he was in business on his own aooount, but in more recent years had been associated with the Department of Native Affairs. In his younger days Mr Grace was a prominent footballer, having represented Marlborough and Nelson, as well as being a member of one or two New Zealand teams to visit Australia. He was not married.
