PIGEON FLYING.

CANTERBURY CLUB. The Conterbury Pigeon Flying- Club flew off their first young bird race of the season from Culverden last Saturday. One hundred and ninety-three birds were sent, divided among 20 owners competing. The.lofts were divided into the two sections east and west. The birds liberated by the stationmaster at 12.57 p.m. in dull weather with a light east wind, which changed to mist and rain.
