ATTEMPT ON RECORD FAILS. (united press association—bi electric telz graj>ji—co ryr.iGHT.) SYDNEY, March 16. Attempting to break the sailing record from Hobart to Sydney, the yacht Oimara, owned by Mr F. J. Bennell, which, competed in the trans-Tasman. yacht race last year, was forced to anchor in -Bateman's Bay last night, owing to a rising southerly. She cannot now achieve her object.
