Wellington—Fine weather continued yesterday. The sun shone brightly most of the day, and a light wind blew from the north. Dunedin—The weather yesterday was fine and pleaßant, the wind being light from east-north-east and the temperature 67 degrees. The barometer fell slightly during thf. day and registered 29.90 last night. Forecast. General Situation —The anti-cyclone covering New Zealand is centred to-day east of the North Island, while a depression which has been located over south-eastern Australia has moved on to the Tasman Sea. Winds—Northerly light to moderate generally, but freshening in and south of Cook Strait.

Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rising south, of Cape Egmont and about Cook and I'oTeaux Straits, elsewhere smooth to moderate. . Eastern Tasman Sea—Freshening northerly winds and rising seas. Weather—-Fair to cloudy and warm in most districts, but sliowcrs developing soon in the western and far southern portionß of the South Island; later conditions becoming more generally unsettled.
