CRYSTAL PALACE.
"THE COMMON LAW." The beautiful Constance Bennett acts in "The Common. Law," at the Crystal Palace Joel Mcßea, Miss Bennett's loading man, has easily the finest role of his career, as the young American artist who falls in love with his model, and Lew Cody, the genial rou6 of a luxurious bachelor' apartment in Paris, has a part which suits him down to the ground. The story, a daring one, dealing with some aspects of the modern idea of love, tells of the romance between two Americans in Paris, and the difficulties cast in the way by the appearance of past loves and former intrigues. Tho screening is lavish, and the scenes of Paris night life/and the luxury aboard a wealthy American's private yacht give an insight into the way much money is spent by some of those who can afford it.
