FORGED TOTALISATOR TICKETS.
ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD. (muss association TECBORAK ) DUNEDIN, March 14. In the Magistrate's Court, this morning, Robert Jolly, a labourer, aged 62, pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to cash five £1 forged totalisator ticke.ts at Wingatui on lebruary 11th. . A totalisator clerk said that he thought the tickets' were genuine at first and stamped /thein. He then noticed that the tickets did not appear in ■ order, and he the accused to wait.. He discovered that they were forgeries, and, on returning, found the accused gone. The police said that the accused was quite frank and rendered assistance in connexion with others implicated i n the forging of the tickets. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. I —~
