CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. Tho Christchurch Golf Club opened its season on Saturday with a mixed four-ball competition' for the A. E. G. Rhodes Bowl. Following were the scores:— R. A. HORORATA CLUBI . The annual meeting of the Hororata Golf Club was held in the parish room,on Thursday ovening, Mr . T.. E. Pearson presiding over a good attendance. The balance-ehoet showed a credit balance' of..'.'£s .'lds lOd. In reviewing the past season the- president stated that tho links.; had, been maintained ir fairly good condition and that the club had had an enjoyable season.. It was resolved that the subscriptions for the ensuing- year, be: Women. 10a, men 17s 6kl, first-year women 'se and. first-year men 10s. Mr T. E. Pearson .and the Rev. H.. N. Roberts wore appointed 4o inspect the links far the purpose of. marking out bunkers. Messrs W. Stone and T. E; Pearson were authorised to-procure men under''the No. 5 Scheme for work on the links. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, March 19th. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr G. Hall; presidents, Mr W, Stone and Mr T. E; Pearson; vice-president, Mr-\L. ]?.. Round;. handicapped the Rev. H.N. Roberts; captain, Mr C. D. McGarry; secretary and treasurer, Mr O. D.
