The warrior was buried in it, dressed in, armour Of gilt bronse; He had three shields, two,swords, add a very magnificent helmet. Thre«t beautiful cups and other household^stuff were placed near the old warrior,,and the bodies of several horses into the boat. The . old ,:wamors lieved that the spirits of thei /dead horses would be able to serve-the spirit of the dead man in a world very like this world—a world of eating and drinking and fighting.
