Auckland —The weather was fine during the wn«k-end, but on Saturday afternoon and ye&terday the sky waa dull and cloudy, the wind t hiving changed from the north-east to the south-west. weather wa« fine but overcast over the week-end. The wind was light from, the eouth. Dunedin—The weather was fine on Saturday, with cloudy conditions throughout th* clay, followed by light rain in the evening urn! on Sunday morning. TJie wind was fresh from the northreast on Saturday, but voered to the south-west to-day. Tho berometer is rising, and registers 30.15. Forecast. General Situation—A shallow depression has been crossing the Dominion, and a moderate anti-cyclone is now approaching fiom the Tasman Sea. An intense tropical cj clone has, been operating between Suva and Samoa, its centre yesterday having been located west o? Keppel Island. , ■Winds—Southerly, moderate generally, but freshening somewhat in exposed positions. Seas (New Zealand waters)— Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea.—Moderate to fresh 'southerly -winds, with smooth to moderate seas. Weather—Cool, changeable, with scattered showeis, more especially in the eastern dis.triots and in the far north. A fairly genera) ir/>provemont, however, may be expected soon.
