I KIMBELL BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Kimbcll branch of the' Women's Institute was, held on Friday, March 4th. The competition for the best arranged bowl of flowers was won by Mrs Erikson. , - ; _ A delightful afternoon tea waa. served by the hostesses, Mesdames Macintosh, Munro, and Boss. PLEASANT POINT BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Pleasant Point Woman's was held in the Town. Hall. ' ;r ? The election of officers for the year 1932 resulted as follows: —PresideiitJMrs Taylor; secretary, Miss H. Kimej treasurer, Mrs Simmons; committee, Mesdames Cartwright, .Candy.-A. Cleland, R. GJeland, Grant, do Montalk, E. Oliver, Quinn, and Misses Chapman Maze, and Miller. ~ An interesting paper on "Teeth 3 ' was read by Miss Armstrong, the dental nurse. A competition for the best "tinfoil picture", was won by Mrs Crawford,a'ncF Miss Kime (equal first), and Miss' Sutherland. A competition on the best plate of scones was won by. Miss Chapman, with Miss Sutherland and Mrs Grant, second and third. It was decided that at the next •meeting demonstrations' on' "Smocking and Dress-making" should be given. The competitions proposed were for the- best yield - of potatoes growji from seed presented by Mr - Ague w; for the best pair of moccasins, and for the best article made from browit' paper or newspaper. ' It wa!s proposed that at the April meeting, all members should bring a recipe, and that these be exchanged. A heartv vote of thanks was accorded the president, secretary and treasurer or, d to Mrs Quinn (accompamst) for their services to the Institute. Afternoon tea was dispensed Uv Mesdames Maze, Oldham. Popple well, Patterson, Quinn, and Misses- Price, Pont, ar.d Phelnn. 1 —'■ * - MAYFIELD BRANCH. Thfe annual, meeting of the Mayfield branch of the Women's Institute was held on. Wednesday afternoon. There was a very good attendance of members.
