LIBERTY THEATRE.
"Lasc» of tho Rl'o Grande," Universal's straight-shooting, Spanish-flavoured romance of the Mexican border, makes its debut at the Liberty Theatre to day, with Leo Carillo. John Mack Brown, Dorothy Burgess, and Slim S'uinmerville in its principal roles. Based on the love of a daughter for her mother, "This Modern Age," starring Joan Crawford, which will be the other feature, deals with a theme very little enacted in pictures. There have been many father and mother, son and father, son and mother love stories, but authors seem to have decided that daughters are always selfish young persons who have no thought for their parents.
