CRYSTAL PALACE.
"COMMON LAW." "The Common Law," starring Constance Bennett, which will start at the Crystal Palace to-day, is a vivid, realistic drama with excellent entertainment value. It is an ideal story for Miss Bennett, giving her splendid opportunities to display her histrionic talents, her charm, and her ability to wear clothes smartly. 'There are many tense moments in the picture which Mi6B Bennett puts over skilfully. In fact, throughout the play she gives a fine performance. "Tho Common Law" was adapted from Robert W. Chambers's famous book by John I'arrow. While the story has been modernised it still retains the vital situations of the original novel. The box plans arc at The Bristol.
