Addressing, seventy thousand people by means of transmitters at the Exhibition Hall, Herr Adolf Hitler (Leader of the Nazis and a candidate for the Presidency) deplored the loss of the pre-war system of government which had made Germany the world's greatest nation. After tho war the. system had destroyed everything. Ho honoured President Hindenburg as a field-marshal, but was now compelled to say: "Worthy old man that you arc, get out of my way." Wild scenes of enthusiasm followed Herr Hitler's speech, tho vast audience singing the patriotio war songs of 1914. CAUCASIAN WINTER. WORST FOR 140 YEARS. (UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTRIC TELBOBAPH— COPViiIGHT.) MOSCOW, March 9. Tho Caucasus is having tho worst winter in 140 years. Many lives have been lost, and there have been unprecedented snowfalls. One villago has been completely buried in an avalanche. Soventy-fivo of the bodies dug out included 25 school children.
